About Dr. Sam Phillips

GP with special interest in Sports and Exercise Medicine

After qualifying as a doctor in 2013 from Peninsula college of Medicine and Dentistry, Dr Phillips undertook his foundation training at University Hospital Southampton and then basic surgical training in Orthopaedic surgery in Cardiff, before completing his training in General Practice in Bournemouth.

He has a wealth of experience in different specialties including Orthopaedics, General Medicine, Dermatology, General Surgery and Emergency Medicine, and is currently completing his post graduate diploma in sports and exercise medicine.

He is trained in musculoskeletal injections and regularly performs these in his NHS practice in Bournemouth.

Qualifications and Education:

Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery
Basic life support (up to date)
Basic surgical skills (2016)
AO Basic principles of fracture management (2018)
Member of the Royal College of General Practitioners
FA Advanced Trauma Medical Management in Football
Member of British Association of Sports and Exercise Medicine
