John-Jay Mooney BSc (Hons)
John-Jay joined the Watt Health team in April 2021 to offer Sports Massage therapy at our Botley Mills clinic on Tuesday evenings and our West End Clinic on Saturday mornings.
John-Jay has a Bachelors with honours Sports Science degree from Southampton Solent University and a level 5 Sports Massage and Corrective Exercise Diploma. These qualifications mean that John-Jay can safety and efficiently determine your suitability for Sports Massage via an initial consultation, and deliver an effective and tension-relieving sports massage via an extensive armoury of different techniques.
He hopes to be able to embark on a Physiotherapy Masters course in the next couple of years in order to broaden his knowledge and qualifications. Being mentored by Steph will continue to assist John-Jay’s development as a practitioner and hold him in good stead for his future training.
He has a particular interest in Football and sport in general, having been a massage therapist for Sholing FC and Cambridge Rugby Club. These roles have given him great experience in working with elite athletes and the demands that sport puts on the human body.
If you play a sport, have general muscle tension, or feel like your postural muscles are screaming at you, then book in a Sports Massage Initial Consultation with JJ via the link below.
